Handmade Christmas gifts are my favorite kind of gift! Not only to receive but to give. When someone takes time out of their busy day to make something for me, that just feels so special.

Not all DIY gifts have to look handmade. There are plenty of simple crafts that produce amazing products.

In this article I’m sharing 10 handmade Christmas gift ideas that look great and most importantly, the recipient will love them! Each of these gift ideas have links to detailed tutorials with step-by-step photos and instructions. Most of these craft projects were the first time that I ever did it so if I can make these items with no experience so can you!

10 Handmade Christmas Gift Ideas Everyone Will Love

Handmade Soap Bars

Everyone washes their hands right? Well I hope so. Handmade soap bars are always a hit because they are both practical and pretty. There are so many ways to customize soap bars with the color, toppings and scents. I made these for my mom and sisters a few years ago and they really enjoyed them.

Resin Soap Dish

Take your handmade soap to the next level with this resin soap dish. While my tutorial used clear resin and dried flowers, you could tint the resin any color that you want and customize this however you’d like.

DIY Bath Bombs

Staying with the bathroom theme for one more handmade gift. Bath bombs are expensive to buy but the good news is that you can make them easily and for a fraction of the price at the store. You could easily customize these based on someone’s favorite color. Just be careful with dark colors because they could stain the tub.

Customized Doormat

For a gift that is both fun and functional, you can paint a plain choir doormat. The possibilities really are endless. You could stencil a family name, add a fun welcome message or paint objects like the leaf design below.

DIY Wreath

Wreaths are one of those decorations that people love but rarely buy for themselves. You could go with classic greenery, a seasonal theme or keep it simple and suited for year round use like my dried floral wreath.

Macrame Plant Hanger

Macrame is trending right now and a handmade plant hanger makes a great gift for plant lovers. Trust me, it looks way more complicated than it actually is. I couldn’t believe how fast I picked it up my first time.
